We prepared ourselves for 2012 way ahead.
Yes, many years ago the tone was set
when we learnt of the end of the Mayan almanac.
Was it simply that that could’ve taken us off track,
or is it truly a change and the end of an era ?
Do you think the world will go on forever?
Everywhere we looked we saw the declarations
of what this time would signify to the nations:
Global warming, earth changes, struggle and strife.
Was this our destiny or did our thoughts create this life?
Did the input of what we read, what was said,
what we saw and heard, and were fed
change our global thinking on how we should…
or wish…. or would….
live 2012?

Many threw up their hands in despair,
some fretted and some didn’t care.
Prophesies of what would be abounded,
left, right and centre and we were surrounded
by everyobody’s interpretations of what it meant
from those who claimed we needed to ascend
above the darkness to survive,
to others who saw the seas would rise,
the ice age would come
and we would have to succumb
as the world rushed to its end.
What did you think my friend?
Did your intentions achieve your aims?
Did you have fun and games
in the nicest possible way or the “Stinky poo,
I’m so miserable, I hate life, I hate you”
resistant way instead?
Did you open your heart and get out of your head?
Was your life full of tears, fears and sickness,
or love, gurgling laughter and happiness?
Or did you have both in equal measure?
Was it a year that you will always treasure?
Well whatever it is or was or is to be,
let us create a new imaginable reality
where we evolve and rise above
our egos to enter the golden age of love.
Can we release the need for challenges and drama,
and tumultuous upheavals to shift our kharma?
Can we live in peace and truly be free?
Is this possible for you and me?
Well all I can say is I'm glad 2012 is almost done!
May we truly understand what it is to become one
as we reach the solstice, the centre of our galaxy
my wish for the world, for you all and for me
is that we dream and achieve a new state of being
as we skip happily into 2013!
