Dolphin Rejuvenation October 2009

This dolphin journey was an inner journey of much needed rest and healing to which the weather contributed by being quite rainy, cloudy and chill.  My Libran friends, Candice, Stella and I all celebrated our birthdays by giving ourselves the gift of wonderful "me" time.  The highlight was encountering several baby dolphins, especially one brand new born - probably born within a day or two - the cutest, cutest thing and something I had not yet witnessed.  There was also the pleasure of watching close hand a huge whale mom frolicking in the waves with her bobbing bundle doing flick flacks and somersaults around her.  Then also listening to the sound of the whales' songs on the hydraphone, which transmitted an incredible conversational symphony from beneath the water.  This journey felt like it was a celebration of new birth and life and inspired Candice and I to do a bit of writing to express our feelings.  Here it is :

Celebrate Life

Grey sky, gloomy sea
A shadow of a Whaleshark
Looked promising… but yet…
Turquoise jellyfish in abundance dissuaded me
“Not today” I thought
“Oh well!”
Then like a miracle
you all appeared.

“What’s this?”
A beautiful gift
A brand newborn
bobbing beside it’s mother.
How sweetly affected my heart.
How blessed!
Surrounded by soulful eyes
Trusting us with this innocence
Smiling faces and close connection
So why the tears?

I remember how you
said you would so love to do this
and perhaps you were there
in that moment .
My heart softening
cries - happy and sad.

Now I know as I leave my pain in the sea
realising that that very sea
deserves my love, my nurturing,
my respect
and in turn heals me.

The tears that surfaced
were diffused with the love
for all that surrounds me.
Here I feel alive.
Here I feel free.
Always the sea calling me back
To simply be…
Me!

I love to be at the sea
Where I can be free
Where I can be me
Where I can be.

The messages, the gift
you awesome dolphins bring

“Celebrate life
Live in joy
Don’t hurt for pain of
that which you cannot change.”

Thank you benevolent creatures of the sea.
I see you
and you see me!

Dolphins

Indigo sea, jagged peaks on top
a pudding of gastric rumblings
contouring dingy movements.

  Misty splashing, encroaching
consuming closing clouds
choppy points, dorsal fin clowning.

  Water spraying, shivering wondering,
wilting.
Where are you?

  Green to retching with
wits of sea fearfully filling oh!
Pod of Peace.

Of the calmest, joyful, most tender embrace.
Ocean lambkin
moon sickle rocking.

Tiny meter two-day form next to
grand complexity, glistening lithely
intelligent grace.

I feel your wisdom, your vibration,
Many speaking hiding and seeking.
And I remember my own; Pod of Life.

21st October 2009.

Oh magical dolphins
that I got to know so closely;
